The B-29 had many new features, including guns that could be fired by remote control. The crew areas were pressurized and connected by a long tube over the bomb bays. The tail gunner had a separate pressurized area that could only be left during unpressurized flight. The B-29 was also the heaviest production plane because of increases in range, bomb load and defensive requirements.BI222825 (wr-a31)Maximum size:5100px × 3950px (~57 MB)17.0in × 13.1in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:1940s-adults-airplanes-B-29 Superfortress (Model 345)-bombers-clear skies-close-ups-cockpits-day-exteriors-ground shots-head on views-historic production status-male-military-military livery-monoplanes-nose sections-occupations and work-photos-piloting-pilots-posing-propeller planes-structural systems-sunshine-symmetry-three people-vintage / retro-windowsRelated Photo/Videos:View All
