Ansett Worldwide's First Boeing 737-700 Readies for Delivery

The first of seven Boeing 737-700s ordered by Ansett Worldwide is shown here in position for final assembly. Based in Australia, Ansett Worldwide was formed in 1985 and took delivery of its first Boeing airplane in 1986. The Next-Generation 737 is the fastest-selling new jetliner in history, with more than 1,100 ordered by customers worldwide. This particular airplane is the second Next-Generation 737 to roll down the 737 Classic assembly line in preparation for the new 24-per-month Next-Generation 737 production rate.
