777 Moving Assembly Line

A major Boeing Production System implementation milestone for the 777 Program's transofrmation to a moving assembly line system was positioning the airplanes nose-to-door in Final Assembly in the second quarter of 2006. the forward Systems Installation work into crawlers in the third quarter of 2006; moving Final-Body-Join forward out of its current area and into a position that can accept fuselage sections via the crawlers in 2007; and completing a one-bay moving line in 2008.
