767-400ER on the Tarmac at Everett Factory
On Aug. 26, 1999, freshly painted in its Boeing livery, the newest 767 jetliner paused at sunset outside the paint hangar at the Boeing facility in Everett, WA. The 767-400ER (extended range) was formally unveiled during an employee celebration. The airplane is sized between the 767-300 and 777-200, seating 245 passengers in a typical three-class configuration and 304 in a typical two-class configuration. It is 21 feet longer than the 767-300, and features an upgraded flight deck and all-new interior fashioned after the award-winning 777 cabin. The 767-400ER will be the first new jetliner to be delivered in the newmillenium.
