767-400ER Body Join
Boeing mechanics prepare to join the wings, body sections and tail of the new 767-400ER (extended range) - the first new derivative-design jetliner to deliver in the next century. This model is the largest 767 and joins the 767-200/-200ER and 767-300/-300ER to create a family of airplanes that can carry from 224 to 304 passengers in a typical two-class seating arrangement. The 767-400ER is 21 feet longer than the 767-300 and 42 feet longer than the original 767-200. The 767-400ER is scheduled for delivery to launch customer Delta Air Lines in May 2000.
