The 747-300SR (short range) featured a higher seating capacity than the -200 version and was designed for shorter domestic routes. The -300 versions were the first 747s to have stretched upper decks from the -100 and -200 versions. This expanded upper deck feature was encorporatd into the later -400 versions.
