737 Final Assembly

Every position is filled on the Next-Generation 737 final assembly line in Renton, Wash., as Boeing increased its production rate of the derivative airplane. In the second quarter of 1998, the company stepped up Next-Generation 737 production from seven to 14 airplanes per month. In 2002 the 737 manufacturing process converted to a moving line system, replacing the station to station method of assembly pictured here. The Boeing Next-Generation 737 airplane is now assembled in just 11 days.
