Workers install the nose section of the first production model of the Boeing 717-200 jetliner at the company's Douglas Products Division in Long Beach, California. This airplane was delivered to AirTran Airlines, launch customer of the 717. The highly efficient 717 concluded its 156-airplane production run in May 2006.
