Spaciousness was one of the 377 Stratocruiser's most popular features. Its double-deck, inverted "figure-eight" body design made it possible for cargo and mail to be loaded onto the roomy lower deck while allowing passengers room to stroll around the main cabin or wander down to the luxury lounge.
