314 Clipper Cabins Converted for Sleeping
Boeing's 314 Clipper's creature comforts were unexcelled for their time. The Clipper was divided into 11 sections, including five spacious lounges, a deluxe "honeymoon suite" - Winston Churchill's choice whenever he flew on a Boeing Clipper - separate dressing rooms, a bar, a galley and a main recreation area. The Clipper had a daytime capacity of 74; at night, there were fold-down beds for 40.
